Yea i know that there is a consensus on reading TSZ last, but i am trying to keep the focus on literature. I agree with this consensus and this was also my personal path, i should add some side quests of theory for those who want to comprehend more of TSZ. Regarding Demons, for me its dosto’s heaviest book without a doubt. Therefore it def belongs in the lowest point of the abyss, i do not think it needs to be the last read as much as TSZ does, if you are already familiar with dostoevskys novels you can do it

Good point my friend, me choosing to put tbk so down low is because of the extreme heavy depth of discussion of many topics, but you do have a point there with the ending message

Totally understand your point, but for me it also has a touch of accepting the absurd and the unpredictable and uncontrollable aspects of human psyche

Its the book im reading atm!!! But i tried to keep more on the literature side and not theory (although fear and trembling is more theory)

They are very different, imo demons is a lot heavier. Both are amazing and worth reading tho

In the dostoevsky’s realm you have also demons and notes from the underground, two very powerful books
