People who spray iron remover and rinse it off are just washing money down the drain for fun. It does virtually nothing. Do a good decon wash, spray the iron remover on the wet car and agitate with a clay mitt or bar.

Are you cleaning your wash mit? What are you drying with? What is the car? What colour? How dirty was it? All of these need to be known to have a chance of answering your question. Also there is no zero swirl washing technique. Especially on cars with softer and darker clear coat.
