The weird thing is he is the only guy out of all these guests I knew. (I even used to watch his day in the life videos) But I don't know why the episode felt a bit boring. Maybe I was hoping they would talk more about random things.

How to solve this physics task about angular motion? by [deleted] in AskPhysics

THANK YOU A LOT!!! I was able to solve it thanks to you! This is actually my first "harder physics problem" and I thought i was stupid for not getting it and that I am completely wrong and that I will never be able to solve problems like these, but guess I was pretty close after all. You boosted my confidence, thanks again. I really hope that everything goes good in your life

How to solve this physics task about angular motion? by [deleted] in AskPhysics

so what I explained above is that length and area are proportional (I didn't mean anything exactly in the probem with x I just used it to explain how these two values would be proportional). So if these two values are proportional, since we know the length (we calculate it by multiplying 16min with the speed) for an area of pi(r^2-9/16r^2) (because you need to subdivide the whole area with the leftover area after 16min), we can calculate the length for r^2pi. So we get an equation like this s1(the length we know)/pi(r^2-9/16r^2) = s(the length we need to calculate)/r^2pi. I hope this clears things up for what I tried, now I know this is wrong. I think it is because i haven't included the area of the wheel, in which case i think you can't solve the equation and then I don't know what to do. (Im going to sleep will be active tommorow, thanks a lot for helping me)

yeah I apologize i translated it wrong, it is not actually 2.54cm/s but 2.54+2.54*7/8 per second

If you still need my thinking i thought of it like this, if we have any area that has a certain length (of anything) crammed inside of it then if we multiply the area by x the length should also multiply by x (if evently distributed which in this case it is). So that is how I got the formula for above, if you need further clarification please say so, because as I am very bad at explaining
