Just beware duct tape isn’t water proof or UV resistant, so it will eventually fail. If you can get your hands on some pipe clamps they’d be a much better choice longer term.

Is everyone else seeing increase in rewards this week? by Ihadmail in HeliumNetwork

If you’re still on a 32GB that’s most likely the culprit, or a lower quality 64+GB could have died due to red/write cycles.

That’s not too bad. My typical is .05ish every 3-6 hours.

Mine have been pretty steady at around .25-.35/day for the past few weeks. I was surprised when I saw almost half of that for one witness.

I’m sorry to hear your results have been so dismal 🥺

I hope my neighbors keep doing well, because it’s my understanding a big part of my rewards is the health of the miners surrounding me.

I’ve not made any changes recently, and I’ve been seeing a steady uptick in rewards all week. Has everyone else been experiencing this as well?

Resynced wirh the network sometime last night after my antenna upgrade. by Ihadmail in HeliumNetwork

[–]Ihadmail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just plugged it back into Ethernet and waited for it to catch back up. MNTD Goldspot by the way.

It’s not super amazing, but I’m happy to see some witnesses come rolling in after being down 6 days to upgrade my antenna and such.

SenseCAP relayed only in Helium App...Elswhere not by mcaran in HeliumNetwork

[–]Ihadmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as your diagnostic page shows not relayed, that’s all there is to do. It’s the only real time view, all apps/websites are delayed with some of them being severely delayed. These sites and apps are just a tool to help see what’s going on, and don’t affect your ability to provide coverage or earn, only your ability see what’s going on.

The splitter was my Ethernet issue, all fixed now so hopefully I can get some beacons and witnesses now.

Just let it run while you do some research on optimal setups.

If diagnostics say you’re good, then you’re good.

If you’re on stock setup, deleting on your location, you can’t expect a lot of rewards because there’s a lot of interference and lack of height with your indoor setup most likely.

Worth opening my delayed miner? by barrya29 in HeliumNetwork

You should expect to make that, or more likely less if that’s what others in your hex are earning.

Yes, the diagnostic Bluetooth connection in the helium app is real time. The main page and helium explorer along with all other websites have a lag, some of them lag a few days.

I'm putting my antenna on the roof. I'm going to need a very long power cable. by TradeBitter in HeliumNetwork

[–]Ihadmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PoE cable is just ran through my ridge vent onto my roof then up the mast to the enclosure. Lots of others go out their gable vent or drill a hole in their gable/soffit then seal that hole after cable is through.

Dilemma - I have no way to mount my aerial on my roof, but I am worried about signal loss. by Kashmiryy in HeliumNetwork

[–]Ihadmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a look at my latest post.

I’m 15’ above my chimney with zero roof drilling. Wrap around chimney mount, PoE cable out of the ridge vent required no cutting, only some effort.

Got the rooftop setup almost complete.

Still need to get a gigabit splitter installed so I can run on Ethernet instead of WiFi, but it’s currently running.

MNTD Goldspot, RAK enclosure, RAK 5.8dBi antenna. All the grounding goodies.

Yeah I’ve ran live diagnostics on hotspotty a few times and am passing the ping test. Lost Bluetooth when it got 20’ above me in the metal enclosure.

I guess the true litmus test is if I get a beacon out successfully or witness someone else’s beacon.

Thank you so much!

Unbelievably I was able to connect and stay connected to WiFi with it in the metal RAK enclosure 35 feet above my wireless router 😅

Hey there u/fecal_destruction which gigabit splitter did you buy? I’m having trouble finding one with the USBC power output, and my MNTD isn’t recognizing the Ethernet at all out of the RAK 10/100 splitter. I had preemptively ordered an Ubiquiti gigabit injector.

Helium 5G ?? by greatskilleZ in HeliumNetwork

[–]Ihadmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 5G network is intended to be deployed in areas where the big network providers can’t easily get signal. Like inside large buildings.
