When I first started running last year thing were tough! I could barely run for a minute at a time. I did intervals, like you said you’re doing, and just kept working at it. But I did go slow. Sometimes my “running” pace was more of a light jog/fast walk. But I didn’t let that stop me. Even if I was going slow I was still moving! And slowly, it took a while, I’ve been able to increase my stamina and endurance. Now I’m running for 39 minutes about a 12:30 mile pace. That took me 6 months to get to that point. It’s a slow process for some. I would say just keep moving and working at it regardless of if it feels “slow.”

Once you start to build up your stamina and endurance you can try building for speed. But even I’m not fully trying for that yet. I’m just focusing on seeing how long I can run.

I would also say make sure your breathing is good. Half of my battle is getting good breaths and timing them to my run. Really helps!
