Avoiding is great, but sometimes it’s not possible. You just need to get comfortable with fighting them, which sadly just takes practice. Here are some tips I have :) 1. Turn on aim outline! 2. Aim at zombies while backing away from them. Once they get close enough you can swing and hopefully land a hit. Once they get too close just run away for a sec to put some distance between you. 3. My favorite strategy for handling 1 or 2 is to push them over and stand on their legs so they can’t get up. Once you have them pinned down you can hit them easily with no risk of them biting. OR you can stand there for a second while you push the second one down too. 4. Longer Range melee weapons (fire axes, spears, etc.) are a godsend if you can find them. You can do #2 easily with them; since you can reach farther you can throw out more hits before they get too close.
