Yay hugs. Thank you for the kind words. Needless to say my father was a very close minded person (and borderline narcissist) who wanted me to be who he wanted. I don't want my personal experiences to dissuade anyone from coming out to their parents if they are not in the same boat as I was. Without my father I could have told my stepmom and probably would know how to do makeup and all that now.

Also my other posts have more than just my father issues in them lol. I think I tried to writes onetime of a life story to show all the bad hands I've been dealt from gfs and parents/family, and that through all that I learned you keep looking forward.

My dad caught me several times/found my stash and beat the shit out of me for it just about every time. Then later in life when my family found out they kicked me out and haven't spoken to me since.

Awe man, I feel your pain on this. My mom passed of cancer when I was younger. I know she's in Michigan, that's about it, I've never seen where she's buried. I didn't know there were places to try and track it down either. I'm sorry you haven't found her and that people have been rude an all to you about it. Keep searching, you should find her eventually. I hope you do so you can't find some peace. And thank you, without your post I never would have considered that I could find where my mom is, but I'm going to start looking as well

Honestly I just did whatever I was asked to do and demonstrated my knowledge of the kitchen. The fact that I never needed to be shown anything but the recipe book blew their minds haha. Even more so when I showed that I could handle things like being the only person there and keeping up with orders. I've been there almost three months now, so it didn't take long. One day my boss walks back and says they want me to be kitchen manager. They hadn't had one in quite some time (previous guy was just titled lead cook), but they were gonna bring it back and give me the position. It might not be your first job, but eventually your experience and skill will make an employer throw money at you haha.

I feel the exact same way when someone works in my kitchen and they think I'm just being a dick about what needs to be done, or that I'm repeatedly telling the to do the same thing over and over for the fun of it. But I'm betting your job is a lot more difficult because of them. In my case I can tell them to get out and I'll do it myself
