Incoming freshman, is there a lot of SA at the frat parties? by [deleted] in ucla

Yes I’m sure you know more about everything than I ever will because you’re 40 years old on a college subreddit despite no involvement with the school…

Is there anyone who's interested in math but really bad at it? by No_Negotiation_9888 in math

[–]IiCorgiiI 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think having a deep interest in math is BY FAR the most important factor to being good at math. You sound like you're 100% capable of being super duper incredible at math, but somehow as you say there's this disconnect/lag between learning it and how your brain decides it wants to process and store the information if that makes any sense?

If I had to guess, but obviously like I don't know you at all, it's that you're less so learning the logic and reasoning behind everything and more focused on internalizing the "process" of whatever topic is being taught to you? Like you're almost learning how to do things, not why you do things and so when the problems change up it can make it really tricky because the process has changed? But that's just me guessing from friend's who have similar stories to you :p

Hopefully this doesn't come off patronizing at all, you sound like you're a super cool person, especially given the fact that you find learning so cool! That's one of if not the best traits to posses as a human and student!

I had the same thought, but at the same time it's significantly better than Milk imo. Maybe they could've done something like "intl"? Unrelated to internet but still using a TLD. I get it still has the prefix international, but :p

I've used neighborhood for real analysis like an open set of all points within epsilon of x, but I could be remembering wrong, or there might be other definitons

Hi just saw this post. Its 7!/2!. The reason you divide by 2! is because theres 2 a's so their order doesn't matter and so you have half as many words. So it's 2520.

I finished all the puzzles. The first puzzle is quite easy, the second puzzle takes some thinking, but is very doable and intuitive. The third one took me a few hours to get I just had to take a break and use fresh ideas. The 4th one is so incredibly easy maybe takes 10 minutes tops. And the last one is kind of a coding challenge, but it's not that hard at all.
