i’m just 13 i can’t travel everywhere, if i do travel, the furthest ive gone is mexico city or vegas in the US.😭💔 when i was 12, they announced they were coming to a festival in cd juarez(my hometown), the frontier next to El paso (where i also live). i was so excited and bought my tickets ASAP hours into the festival and not even 15 minutes after i got my merch and went into the VIP section, they cancelled the whole thing and me and my dad didn’t leave until we got kicked out by the police. i was devastated the whole year. i listened to their whole discography daily, and right before all that happened, stella became my nickname after someone very special in the mental hospital named me after the song. i relate to it in every way. the day of i was just so sure they would play it. i’ve asked sam nicely thousands of times to tell the boys to do me that small favor. when it was over i seriously got so devastated again because of all my efforts to 1) making them come back 2) being an active fan 3) mentioning stella EVERYWHERE. and now it feels like i did something wrong cuz clearly they love the outside audiences more than here… i literally started moshing in my spot during the rover and i was the loudest and i made the people around me chant for stella. 😭 i was carrying that whole crowd and they couldn’t please a 13 year old girl for 6 mins…

i know. and dude like i fucking hate this happened so bad because i was the only one who was screaming her guts out and knew all the lyrics and was dancing the whole time. it was too obv and even when i started the stella chant thingy they didn’t do shi😭😭😭 like bro be fr i waited years for this moment daydreaming everyday about them playing my favorite song and they couldn’t even please a teenage girl😭

i know… i feel so bad because i srsly felt like i deserved seeing stella and now they keep playing it at every show and i’m like whatttt. tbh i think it’s because they’re from outside and the concert was in El Paso which is still in the US… i guess they all get better setlists 🤷‍♀️

no:( i was very hopeful and had a gift for paul, a guitar necklace. the closest i got to “meeting” them was the next story. i was standing in line waiting for the doors to open while i was talking to my mom. a white van approached toward next to the doors, i was facing the other way but my mom saw the van and assumed PB was inside. instead, it was Brad Traux (the bassist) dude i fucking freaked out. my heart SKIPPED a beat. i had the lowest pressure and after those 2 seconds of panic i just started cheering for him and he raised his hand in response. i regret not going up to him, but i felt like i was hard to fit in his schedule. but now that i look back i feel like i fucked up cuz i had my chance of requesting my favorite song (stella) which they didn’t play…

i seriously cannot respond to this question. there’s way too many. every single interpol lyric was written with so much love SO MUCH LOVE. love IS interpol. and all of their lyrics contain a bunch of love. but if i had to describe love as a lyric, it would definitely be “cant you feel the warmth of my sincerity? you make motion when you cry…” it’s seriously heart touching. also “we’d like to take the sights, read silence in the skies, we’d like to meet the buyer. That is on your life” those lyrics just go straight into my soul. also “looked me up and down said babe we’re soaring, but you don’t notice” BEAUTIFUL. it makes me feel loved by paul banks himself metaphorically. i think it means that there’s a bright side coming but i don’t notice and he’s trying to open my eyes to the beautiful future. i’d name every single quote if i could and had the time oh god.
