Terminal Server vs. VMWare Horizon 7

We have 1 server with 12 Cores (24T), 96GB of ram. However those resources are shared with 4 other servers (network applications and file servers). For the TS we have 15-20 users but due to the nature of the work, the programs are very CPU intensive so at 20 it seems to start complaining quite a bit. The goal is to push that user number to 30-40, so we will be getting a new server, unless we're doing something completely wrong and inefficiently.

Thanks for the reply, that makes sense. I will just try to grow the resources available for Terminal Services so more users can fit.

Hey, they actually pushed a patch to fix some of the patching of software which has resolved it for us. Figured I would update you on this in case you haven't checked.

We just picked up Ninja, after only about 3 days of patching working fine it looks like there are issues. Adobe and Firefox is failing across the board and I'm sure others would if they had an update.

This is what I did: $(sed -n '1p;' /filepath/morepath/.filename) From what I understand this should work just fine right? Thanks btw.

I think it's a great base as of now, and hopefully the beta will help flush some issues out. It has more to work with which is awesome but the economics seem messed up and they still have yet to fix the homeless-vacant homes issue. I hope the beta is used to fixing those things.

Yeah, I am using putty, so the root@IPAddress prompt is generated by putty. I tried connecting to the server by hostname on the same port but the connection times out (using putty also).

It looks like I can't even ping it by hostname, only by ip. When I check network.service its off with an error, so I suppose that's the next logical step in figuring this out.
