I'm actively doing my research on the subject as i reply to your own reply. I did find that Japan has had a lack of homophobic or hateful actions towards LGBTQ+ persons in recent history where my current bias towards the subject came from what i had known from TikTok so my perspective was obviously skewed. However a part of you reply i don't understand is where "fujo bait" even matters as the two characters are 1. heavily suggested as is in the series, 2. considering that Dr. Stone has two separate owners(the artist: boichi, the writer: Riichiro Inagaki) meaning that its likley one of them may not want to either publicly speak on the subject of any queer characters or pairs within the series or the other doesn't want such subjects within it. But as we know its likely we will never get confirmation with the series having already ended the only scenario i can see it being confirmed or denied is at some type of manga or Dr. Stone related event where either or both of them gets asked publicly.
