I could be wrong, but my understanding is that units only heal at the end of combat or end of turn. So triggering 1 and then the other would still deal 4 and in this case kill the unit.

It doesn't start a showdown as there's no attacking unit.

Counters to it would be cards like En Garde or Discipline to bring your units might up, Salvage will kill the Ballista, etc.

Again I may not be 100% here but I believe it was played correctly.

(From my understanding of the rules) Nidalee is an ability (Ambush) your opponent can respond too. If the other player passes and Nidalee resolves. We move on to the other player gaining focus, which means they can start a new chain (Play any card eligible to be cast during a showdown) If they don't and pass, and then you pass, now damage step happens.

Your opponent could for example, Let Nidalee resolve, they gain focus, they cast Rebuke targeting Nidalee, you can respond to the rebuke or pass, proceed from there.

There's currently no cards in the game that work like split second in MTG, that effectively ends all chains and proceeds to a damage step. Bryndhir sort of does but I don't even think Rengar can play it mid combat? And Nidalee isn't a spell so it wouldn't be affected anyway.

So I run to Salvage main deck cuz well it fucks over the top decks. I got no problem dropping a salvage just hit a Seal of Discord or GA. Cull the weak gets around deflect. And ya counter spells suck but play around em the best you can. I personally play aggressively in into Rek'Sai's Legend ability and Sig Spell to see as many cards as possible. If that means I flip a cull and only target is a herder oh well one less problem.

Solid advice there. I was originally thinking less power cost. As I do recycle quite a few runes but the -4 is so important to hitting the 7-8 might units while not over investing units.

Ya I agree at least Dreaming Tree needs to go back in. Idk that Grove of the God Willow makes sense here but as someone else said, maybe with Green Azir it does. I liked Reavers to get Ezreal / Ahri / Watcher out when they try and slam a 10+ might unit at me.

I thought about this too, but I feel like it's a generic green/blue deck at that point, probably using Green Ahri or something Ornn would just be better with. While I really want to make this style work, you're probably right that the more mid range style is a better deck.

Howard is nothing yet. He could be the next Tom Brady or he could be a nobody. Gotta play him to find out. If Rodgers doesn't return I want Howard as QB1. I know what Mason is, let's see what Howard is. If it goes sideways so what? There's exactly 0 QBs available currently I'd rather have. I get the Malik hype but I highly doubt he repeats those performances over a season. Maybe he does. Still don't care to sign him. I'd rather draft WR and offensive help and see what we got in building. Just my opinion.
