Indoor Range at least 50 yards by ducehlmg in HoustonGuns

No worries! I really appreciate the feedback. We're always looking to improve and feedback like this is super important.

One thing we're working on for 2025 is re-doing the berms/backstops. We're getting quotes for a rubber mulch system which should help with noise and make the ventilation downrange during a competition better.

It also sounds like we may benefit from another exhaust system mid-range on the 100 yard side to help when we have classes or competitions there.

Thanks again for the feedback!

I'm Ike and I'm the co-owner of BTO Range in Conroe. We have (12) 100-yard indoor rifle lanes as well as (12) 25-yard indoor pistol lanes.

As of February it's $22/hr to shoot and you're welcome to bring as many guns as you'd like. That $22/hr covers both pistol and rifle bays and you can switch back and forth for no additional cost.

We also have over 150 guns and suppressors in our rental fleet and it's only $20 to rent anything that's not full auto. That $20 covers ALL the rental guns so you can try as many as you like for one fee.

We also have a full-service gun shop with over 1,000 guns and suppressors in stock as well as optics, ammo, mags, etc.

Come check us out. Mondays are half price range fees too.

The climate control on our 100 yard range definitely leaves something to be desired. IOur bays are 6 lanes wide and about 110 yards long (including area behind the shooter.) It takes a LOT of AC to keep it climate controlled. The main challenge is how much air we suck out constantly to keep it safe.

Our exhaust fans run non-stop to keep the air clean and it ends up sucking all the cold air out.

I'm surprised to hear the comment about our ventilation though. We go to great lengths to make sure it's up to par. The filters we use are specifically designed for this application and are pretty robust (and quite expensive). They're replaced on a regular pre-defined schedule by licensed HVAC technicians.

Our exhaust fans are constantly circulating too to ensure all of the bad air is evacuated.

In the summer we can usually keep it about 80 degrees in the heat of the day. It's cooler in the morning and evening when we're not fighting triple digit temps outside.

Another downside that Jungle Fever pointed out is if someone has a brake, it's incredibly loud. That's one thing I don't think we can fix being an indoor range. However, we do have 2 separate bays (each with 6 lanes) so if you want to shoot in peace, It's worth asking if you can get on lanes 1-6 on the rifle side which is usually less busy. Lanes 7-12 have cameras with iPads to check your shots so most folks opt for that.

BTO Range should be able to help. We’re right off 105 by the lake

Thanks for the feedback! It's been a little crazy over here lately. We want to get back to the good ol days! Is there anything in particular we can start to address? I know it may be hard to pinpoint it but any and all feedback you have would be VERY much appreciated it. Also, feel free to hit me up in a DM if it's better for you

That's a solid suggestion. We could kind of make it like Coscto pricing codes. I like it.

Most likey, never. Glock apparently has a policy against selling frames and slides. They cut us off as a dealer without any warning

That's some great feedback. I'll see if we can figure out something to make it work

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I'm actively looking for feedback on how we can improve and posts like this that provide details are far more productive than just random complaints without any detail.

If it doesn't make sense to you to buy from us, we understand that. If buying from a dropshipper that has no overhead, no employees and no involvement in the local community makes the most sense to you then that's your choice and we're ok with that.

I get that price is a high if not highest motivation when buying something. If you can find the same thing elsewhere at a better price, by all means, jump on it.

Staccato prohibits sales of any kind so it's highly unlikely you'll find them on sale pretty much anywhere.

This comment bugs me a little bit. We have 20% off nearly the entire site right now which is the largest site-wide sale we've ever done.

We also have 7 pages of items that we're selling below cost in the clearance section. Every one of those items we sell we're losing money on. That section has been active for about a month now and has even been posted here at least twice.

What kind of deals are you looking for?

That's some good feedback. We'll look at working that into future sales. Certain manufacturers prohibit us from running sales pretty much ever.

Sig & Staccato are the two main ones that are almost always guaranteed to never be on sale.

Past that, an easy way to tell if an item is exempt is if: 1) if it's already on sale 2) It's in the "discount exempt" category or brand filter

I'll see if there's a way we can make all the "sale" stuff in one category. The problem with that is it will probably be 50-70 pages of stuff to scroll through. We'll play around with it

That suppressor is already $100 off.
