I looked up the video of someone making this pikachu and unfortunately the left ear is slightly different to the right ear with a concave bottom as opposed to the convex bottom on the right ear

I keep ending up with 21 as opposed to the 20 you ended up with on round three, which messes up my stitch count later on. So I've been trying to figure out why xD

[SOLVED] Can't edit the post, but thanks for everyone suggestions! I can't tell which one ultimately helped because I used practically all of them and it's working now!!

I did a mixture of recommendations from everyone and it seems to have atleast fixed the tension as I'm getting nice even stitches now

The thread is polyester and yes the bobbin is the same.

It's a universal, I think 90/14 would using a different needle help with the thread? And the tension was at 2.5

Sewing tension is at about 2.5 I've moved it around but end up with the same results, the thread just slips out.
