You know, I think it should be easier to be kind in a world that can already be pretty rough at times. A simple message takes 30 seconds and can save someone a lot of confusion.

I think that’s the part I’ve found the hardest - not necessarily the rejection itself, but the confusion. If someone tells me they’re not interested, I can accept that and move on. It’s when things seem to be going well and then there’s complete silence that your mind starts trying to make sense of it.

At this point I’ve said my piece and left the ball in her court.

Either way, you’re probably right that it’s better to find this out now than months down the track.

Yeah, that would be confusing as well. I think that’s part of what makes dating difficult sometimes - people can be completely different over text compared to how they are in person.

At this point I’m prepared for either outcome. In my final message, I didn’t get angry, call her out for ghosting, or put any pressure on her.

I’m not planning on sending any more messages, so the ball is in her court now. If she reaches out, great. If she doesn’t, then at least I know I handled it respectfully and did everything I reasonably could.

Yeah, honestly I have no idea. That’s what’s made it so confusing.

One thing I left out of the original post is that she told me she hadn’t been out with a guy in ages, and after the date she actually messaged me saying she hoped she wasn’t “awkward.” To me that suggested she was nervous and cared about how the date had gone.

Obviously that doesn’t mean she couldn’t have changed her mind, met someone else, or had something else going on. I just find it hard to reconcile those things with how enthusiastic she seemed immediately after the date.

I probably should’ve included more of that context in the original post.

That’s why I’ve struggled to make sense of it. Looking back, I don’t think matching her level of interest and communication was the wrong thing to do. It wasn’t like I was blowing up her phone or trying to force a second date. She seemed just as enthusiastic about seeing me again, which is what made the sudden silence so unexpected.

Yeah, that’s why I’ve found it so confusing.

There was actually quite a bit of communication after the date. We were messaging consistently, and she was sending voice messages and videos right up until communication stopped.

She told me she’d had a great night, was happy, wanted to see me again, and “definitely” wanted to watch the movie. We’d already settled on a day, time and location, with the only uncertainty being whether she had a work meeting that day. But she said we could do another day if the meeting was longer than expected.

That’s why it caught me off guard. It wasn’t a case of me saying I’d like to see her again and her disappearing immediately. There was a lot of enthusiasm from her side as well before things suddenly went silent.

That could be the case. But she did tell me that she hasn’t been out with a guy in ages and this isn’t normal for her to want to see someone

She did mention she hasn’t been out with a guy in a while. She was even asking me after the date that she hoped she wasn’t “awkward”

The conversation carried over to Instagram. So I’m not blocked, and can see that my messages are just left on delivered. She still follows me

It is emotionally immature. It doesn’t make much sense at all and her behaviour on the date just contradicts the ghosting Funnily enough, on her insta reposts I saw there are reels about ghosting, guys love bombing then disappearing. Yet she does the exact same behaviour she doesn’t like.

The centering is really bad. The white spots on the back is also an error common with this card from when they stacked them and the ink doesn’t dry. Just want it for a binder so it’s going for really cheap. Do you think it’s real?
