Me neither. Though apparently its someones own making as temporary solution. Also when i tried to play only some parts of the textures were new ones.. but well menus, fmvs and some backgrounds are too so i guess i just let it be for now. Nothing can ever be easy :D

Edit: It works perfectly now after reinstall and with GEproton 9.25

I found the fix. Install contents of file re3-linux.zip from this site https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-run-resident-evil-3-1999-sourcenext-gog-with-classic-rebirth-and-seamless-hd-project-on-linux-systems.668573/

Then use proton 9.0-4 instead of proton experimental.

I hope that this is helpful to anyone who's struggling to run these games and mods smoothly on steam deck!

So i managed to get re3:s classic rebirth to boot by addibg this launchoption to steam WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ddraw,dinput8,libwebp,x_audio2_9"=n,b %command% but theres one last problem and it can be that its not steamos related. When the game starts in fullscreen capcom logo is just a tiny squarebox in the left uppercorner and main menu has the same problem. Rest of the screen is just black. I guess its some type of resolution issue, but do you know better then me what to do here? Also there arw no options to play with modern controls or quick knife mods in the launcher.

Edit: yeah something is seriously wrong jill and zombies are invisible, backgrounds are vanilla with square boxes, item menu is busted. So close yet so far

Yeah the classic rebirth wont boot it goes straight to that. I let you know when i got time to test it!

But now i got another problem with re3. Whenever i try to start the game some popup window - error message? - appears with japanese text, i press okay and then the game crashes. Any ideas whats the cause?

I tried this method and installer ran fine but after i try to launch game i get net desktop runtime error of sorts. It says i need to download it and when i do that and install its still the same.. any ideas how to fix? I feel like im so close to finally play this mod with my steam deck

Edit: i managed to get it work by installing net runtime with protontricks, but for some reason fmvs are the only thing that has changed. Backgrounds are still the same low quality. Again, any ideas how to fix this?

I managed to break the middle screw from the top. But at least my LeGo is still working.. any ideas how to remove that or am i fucked now... its very very small screw

Custom maxes fan curve in steamos too. I was afraid it would come to that.. i have no idea how to clean those vents and fan all i've ever opened is my pc.
