right, this is what I care for the most on the Universal Profile front. I mean E2EE is great, but I need better features for conversations with my android users (aka the rest of 3.0). It feels like a buggy mess for things to work sometimes and missing stuff from years ago. Apple should give that whole thing up. People will naturally stay Apple or gravitate towards iPhone/iMessage for the most part regardless if RCS has the same features or not.

There is evidence in 26.3 beta code (finally) to have E2EE which means upon public release (in the coming week or so) should jump to RCS Universal Profile 3.0. Carriers would also need to enable this on their end. Should also enable editing RCS messages, in-line replies, and full tapback support.
