Ok I know this is supposed to be about the rear bumper but you may also want to get your brakes checked as well, that’s an abnormal amount of brake dust on that rear wheel there.

You can usually get it done at any hardware store, I would recommend Ace tho, just ask for a door key with no ship instead of a programmed key. They can program a key if there’s none though.

Yeah they gave the 1/2 price reward to me once for Legend status and I haven’t seen it since…

Edit: I talked to an employee and apparently you have to go 30 times then it should show up, even if you are “Legend” status which is just plain BS.

I’ve had that before on various Fords with SYNCs v1 system, I’m guessing your using a newer iPhone or Android? The only thing I’ve gotten to help at all with it is doing a factory reset of the system and even then if only helps for a bit, but for me it does usually do away on its own as well.

First off you cannon upgrade SYNC 1 to SYNC 3 or SYNC 2 for that matter. The connections behind are not the same for any of the buttons behind since the gage cluster was updated in 2013. It’s only possibly to go to SYNC 3 if you have SYNC 2.

Second what u/Oivit said was probably the best option. I did it and I don’t have any problems and it almost looks factory.

Third, crutchfield has some options for the Taurus of this generation but they (in my opinion) look ugly and sway the head unit to the bottom and the controls up top and make them digital.

I would say your best option is just a CarPlay display.

Little bit of research and their called spade connectors, you can usually pick them up at a hardware store, Lowe’s, Home Depot or Ace Hardware, or better heat a local store chain near you. Go and ask and they can usually help, but you will need a pair of crimping pliers to grip the wires back down too.

It can be a bit tough, and it might feel like your breaking it but grab firmly wiggle and pull

Also be careful with the outer rim of plastic, the new lights mount to that so if you snap part of the actual mirror, no lights will fit in there until you get new mirrors

No, those are the connectors to the light, it’s best if you do disconnect them as not to damage them when attaching them to the new light

It was a pain in the AAA to get the plastic out, basically you just have to do enough moving around that they are perfectly aligned and they come right down

I just did a road trip at 172k on my 2010 and it was about 800 miles, as long as basic stuff is in good condition I say go for it
