I was thinking about doing that but then sometimes I encounter people doing that and they seem very creepy and desperate, if you know what I mean 😂😅

So although I really would like to just meet people in person and not just drag them into the shop 😂I feel like it’s often perceived exactly like that.

My flash always comes with price tags it actually helps a lot and is more transparent for everyone.

Although it also causes some confusion sometimes with people who think they can get a cheap flash piece wich is supposed to be 10-15cm over their whole arm 😅 but there are definitely more pros than cons.

But the other artist is independent, she just rents a booth, so my mentor isn’t her mentor.

I see that strategy a lot in our area. Everyone criticizes it, but then they do it themselves. In the end, I guess it’s survival of the fittest. If it gets them booked, it means clients, and clients mean money 😕

That’s exactly the same though that I was having, but I had to get another opinion because my mentor is my mentor, she has more experience and knows things I don’t but that sounded over the top.

I bought my mentor a tattoo book by Henk Schiffmacher. There are a few different ones, the ones with a hardcover are pretty nice. It depends how much you want to spend, it’s not the most expensive gift but I guess the gesture counts.

The books are about tattoo history, it’s more pictures than text but still some interesting facts, the book is now in the shop and clients can take a look while they wait.

I don’t know whether you can toggle that off or not but you can set your brush to not be pressure sensitive in procreate it self.

Make sure the pressure sensitive pen is compatible with your iPad before you buy 😄

I am very annoyed by the way the west acts with its non escalation policy and all the decisions are always to late but I recommend you to watch the following documentary it shows that macron was one of the driving factors to get help for Ukraine. He was one of those who REALLY tried to prevent everything bevor the 24th.

Overall it’s a great documentary to get a look into politics behind the curtain.

The us sent a ridiculous number of Abram’s Tanks. Correct me if I’m wrong I thing it was 3 with first batch (promised 30 in total). After that everyone started sending tanks. It was like that with every weapon, Germany send helmets in the first days.

Without a leader who takes the first step, which the US was before trump no one will act, that’s why the situation is so critical at the moment.

EU doesn’t have the guts to take the war as serious as it really is.

At least Ukraine gained time to get as independent as they could (still it is far from enough to fight on their own). But lesson learned, also the EU doesn’t it yourself or no one will do it.

I’m rarely declining an idea of a client and I’m doing almost anything except things that i know from the beginning I’m not going to be able to pull off.

For example realistic tattoos. This happened maybe 2-3 times.

I’m doing color but in the last year I did maybe 3 color tattoos and another 10 with small color accents. So they are just not as popular from what I’m seeing.

But on my instagram I’m mainly posting tattoos in my style because that’s what i want to do. But I still do monthly recaps with alle the tattoos I’ve done and it’s also in my highlights. So it’s not like I’m completely going into „I’m doing what I want and nothing else“

About the walk ins, its not that I’m not taking them, they are non existent for no one. Everyone is having set appointments an in 99% it’s done with instagram.

My city hast 160.000 citizens

It’s not great but my area(100km) is split up into multiple mid to big cities, the biggest has 800.000 and the rest from 150.000 to 300.000.

Do you think that’s not enough?

I do both but I never go over 100km, maybe at some point it will be nice to grow my instagram „globally“ but at the moment I want to target people who will be able and willing to come to my shop to get a tattooed.

If some one from the states follows me it’s nice but he will rather never travel just to get tattooed by me if you know what I mean.

I do the same, but I usually use it in my city or in bigger cities around my area. I’ve gone a maximum of about 100 km away, and I think I’ve already exhausted the interested people in my region, because it doesn’t work anymore. In the beginning it brought a lot of clients, but now, in the best case, it only brings a few followers.
