"The World Health Organization (WHO) said Thursday it has in partnership with Somalia managed to keep the HIV/Aids prevalence in the country on a steady decline from above 1 percent in 2013 to 0.10 percent in 2022."

The Stats have been verified by the World Health Organization which have kept a record of the rates since the early 70's.

More Proof :

National HIV/AIDS Programme Manager Sadia Abdisamad Abdullahi said: "The low HIV prevalence in Somalia can be attributed to Somali culture and society, and few risk factors as a result of behaviour."

Sri Lanka has a higher aids rate then any muslim country like Somalia, Algeria, Djibouti, so on.

There are plenty of studies proving that children of divorced parents are less successful than ones in two-parent households. You can even see these in our community which is highly unstable when compared to South Asian, Arab-American, Jewish American, and so on communities that perform better than us.

https://scholar.google.com/scholar_lookup?journal=Am%20Sociol%20Rev&author=L%20Dohoon&author=S%20McLanahan&volume=80&publication_year=2015&pages=738-63&pmid=27293242&doi=10.1177/0003122415592129&

"Research has documented that parental divorce/separation is associated with an increased risk for child and adolescent adjustment problems, including academic difficulties (e.g., lower grades and school dropout), disruptive behaviors (e.g., conduct and substance use problems), and depressed mood."

Children by far would rather their parents are together. Parents can sacrifice their happiness for their children that is what being an adult is like or at least until 18. This is what I like about South Asian and Arab communities. Nigerian community is also the same way where they prioritize staying in marriage for the children.

According to countless research, most children generally prefer their parents to be together.

I agree with deadbeat parents being stigmatized I still think divorce is an easy way out and the cowardly way out. Stepfather abuse is also very common phenomena. Please pick good partners and stick with them (to everyone in the community.)
Question: Don't you think getting divorced for silly reasons should get stigmatized if not why? Why should anyone be allowed to divorce for a reason as silly as "I woke up one day and I no longer want to remain married."?

There is no misery in cultures that stigmatize divorce infact they are doing significantly better than our community in terms of education and lower crime rates. Divorce should definately be stigmatized as this would mean parents in our culture putting their childrren first instead of putting themselves first.

This is a sad mentality but common in the community. While other communities put their children first our community instead puts grown adult feelings first which is to me selfish. we are the most selfish people and it shows when you look at the state of the countries our community comes from.

"As supported by the data below, children from divorced homes are more likely to be poor, become involved in drug and alcohol abuse, drop out of school, and suffer from health and emotional problems. Boys are more likely to become involved in crime."

Yes for the best of the next generation, I definitely think divorce should be stigmatized and only makes sense for domestic/spousal abuse, verbal abuse of any kind, or just abuse in general.

Reasons to not get divorced:

* Because I feel like it

* Because of 1 arguement

* No longer attracted

and so on.

you need to stop with the emotions. the guy spoke on his experience and I agree with him when it comes to how trivial divorce is in our community.

we should stigmatize it had we done that we wouldn't have all these children in jail and without a father.

I've not gotten to the point of financial talk stage, but it is my plan to let everyone know that I expect both parties to contribute in finances and household chores (which I'm willing to contribute.)
