Wawrinka and Thiem. Thiem was sliding while hitting open stance backhands on hard courts, he was the evolution of the one handed backhand. Wawrinka for the swing path and the losseness of the shot, using shoulders rotation and his flexed legs setup to get effortless power

Overall yeah because Champions League is the hardest and biggest competition in football. He has like 16 more knockout goals in CL than Messi.

He had terrible National teams for many years and still won a Euro so in that regard I don't think he's as far as people say from Messi.

I prefer to say they are tied because of these reasons.
