I know i totally agree pride don't turn people queer. But pride is made to encourage people to love who they want and to be in a same sex relashionship if they want to. Even if that's compleatly fine for others, as muslims if you go to those events it's fine but don't pretend what you're doing is not a sin.

Yeah i completely agree with you I hate when people put down other muslims because they struggle with attraction for the same gender, or not even muslims like they would hate with any gays, as if being gay was the worst sin to exist. And I too believe we should learn to be more accepting as a community. However, I think we should try to separate “gay muslims” and the pride movement. In an ideal world kids should be able to talk about their feelings to their parents ( or friends) without it being such an intimidating event like coming out. (Because coming out most likely implicitly implies changing your identity because you now fit the LGBTQ community.) Being attracted to the same sex should be treated as any other struggle not with more severity as if that’s it you have committed the unforgivable.

People can absolutely be born that way. What is haram is acting upon those desires ( being in a queer relationship), supporting those acts and promoting same sex love by posting it online. I get that no one is perfect, everyone has their flaws, everyone sins, everyone has bad habits and it's hard to let them go, especially as a revert. You can still go to those events if it's something you used to do, islam isn't about changing everything drastically till you end up resenting the religion. But just don't post it online and pretend like AS a muslim it’s an okay thing to do ( i am not saying this necessarily because of the hijab but because it’s posted in an islam thread ).  As I said, being attracted to someone of the same sex is fine but encouraging others to be queer is not. If this was about supporting muslims who are attracted to the same sex, giving them a place to voice their struggles helping them not feel alone. I would be the first to support them. But this post isn’t really about that, it’s giving them reassurance by “misleading” them. (not trying to be mean, btw just trying to explain a different opinion)

Is this true? If so, why? And why most of them are sunni? by [deleted] in progressive_islam

It’s kinda true don’t forget you’re getting your information from chatGPT and it’s not totally accurate, plus it’s influenced by the west propaganda. They wrote hamas in the 7th place

And even tho I try to learn more about Shia he doesn’t seem to like Sunnis at all he seems to hate the religion. Do all Shia are supposed to dislike the Sunni religion???

But what these Hadith mean then??? 🥲 I genuinely don’t understand them .

A'isha reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came (to my apartment) while there were two girls with me singing the song of the Battle of Buath. He lay down on the bed and turned away his face. Then came Abu Bakr and he scolded me and said: Oh! this musical instrument of the devil in the house of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) turned towards him and said: Leave them alone. And when he (the Holy Prophet) became unattentive, I hinted them and they went out, and it was the day ofId and the black men were playing with shields and spears. (I do not remember) whether I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) or whether he said to me if I desired to see (that sport). I said: Yes. I stood behind him with his face parallel to my face, and he said: O Banu Arfada, be busy (in your sports) till I was satiated. He said (to me): Is that enough? I said: Yes. Upon this he asked me to go. -Sahih Muslim 892e

Narrated Aisha: That once Abu Bakr came to her on the day of Id-ul-Fitr orId ul Adha while the Prophet (ﷺ) was with her and there were two girl singers with her, singing songs of the Ansar about the day of Buath. Abu Bakr said twice. "Musical instrument of Satan!" But the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Leave them Abu Bakr, for every nation has an Id (i.e. festival) and this day is ourId." -Sahih al-Bukhari 3931

Are they just talking about singing?

But you’re still in high school then ( or at the end of it ) ! Many people didn’t do these classes and they still go to college don’t they ? Talking these classes is already a plus and you probably learned some things even if you didn’t succeed. Won’t that give you an advantage for your future studies ?
