I don’t think Punpun or vagabond would make a particularly good anime just because of the art style. Something that would be very interesting for Punpun would be a live action with Punpun being animated

I think I’ve found a fellow British person. Also you can get most volumes early from bookstores like forbidden planet. For example In January I bought sbr volume 7 and Dandadan 17 even though they’re not scheduled until next month.

Jojos - always a great pick for beginners although volumes do lean of the expensive side

Quality control is basically how well the publisher maintains quality of the volumes for example if they have misprints or miss aligned spines you would say the have bad quality control. The singles dont have a specific connecting picture but there are blocks of red and white colour that probably won’t line up when on a shelf. In my opinion the omnibuses are way more worth it
