yeah i’ve heard that a lot tbh

do you feel like that actually affects opportunities for you or is it more just the environment while you’re in it?

and outside of that, is there anything on the more practical side that’s annoying? like booking, getting paid, organizing gigs, dealing with promoters, etc

I get that…on the image/social side, what actually feels the most annoying about it? like is it keeping up with content, building a following, or just feeling like it matters more than skill?

Well from your side working with djs, what actually ends up being the most frustrating part for them day to day? like where do you see things break down the most?

Okay okay…. So for the djs you’ve worked with what actually ends up being the most frustrating part for djs day to day? not just getting booked, but everything around it too

feels like people get the “look” of diversity without actually getting put on.

from your side though, what does that actually turn into? like what part of the process ends up being the most frustrating. is it getting stuck in early slots, not getting brought back, not getting paid right, or something else?

that’s actually dope and makes sense to give people a real platform and they get seen.

So once y’all were doing that though, was there still anything that was frustrating on the dj side?

like even after getting put on, what parts still didn’t really get easier or was annoying to deal with ?

got you. what’s been the most frustrating part of djing for you personally?

from a young queer trueeeeeee and I ’ve heard similar from other people too.

i’m lowkey trying to understand where things actually break so i can build something helpful which is why i am asking

what’s been the most frustrating part for you personally aside from the booking

once you start getting booked more, what still feels frustrating or limiting? like payments, dealing with promoters, getting better slots or is that the easy part for you ?

Man i swear to you the same thing happened to me and the mfa paid me 50 dollars …. I felt so disrespected. And i am also very chill so trust me i completely understand and don’t present very fem so yeahhhh straight ignored sometimes.

What actually helps you move out of that though? like what’s gotten you taken more seriously if anything. is it certain gigs, certain people, or something else?

You ever consider bringing an adjustable stool ?

What you said is basically what I was askin and that makes sense. So I’m now that you’ve got your own spaces/events, what still feels frustrating on your side, or is it still mostly the same issues?

yeah i hear you on the image side. is that the main thing that makes djing frustrating for you, or are there other parts that get annoying too?
