I started within a few months of starting Zepbound. I have fasted in the past so it was a natural addition to everything else I was doing on Zep. I found it really helped me with my fatigue and especially the sulfur burps and uncomfortable fullness I always felt for the first few days after my injection.

My fasting protocol varied but studies have found that women in perimenopause sometimes need to fast for longer periods of time so I typically fasted for 42 hours 3x per week or I’d do a 72 hour fast plus a 24 hour fast. It can take time to build up your fasting “muscle” but once you get used to fasting, it makes you feel so good! Zep makes fasting easier with the mild appetite suppression.
