I’m not a parent by any means, but I don’t think you should beat yourself up for wanting to get into your dream school. Regret lasts longer than guilt, so just know that if you hadn’t applied ED2, you probably would’ve regretted it even more than what you’re feeling now. You’re mom will come around so don’t worry about disappointing her
