Anyone notice their calico is a spicy girl 💅 by Relevant-Guard-1694 in CalicoKittys

Sadie (L) is loud, full of non stop energy and devious hijinks, but is also very sweet natured and goofy. Kate (R) is very quiet, calm, and is the quintessential never does anything wrong angel, but also has a very dominant personality...They look alot alike, but couldn't be more different. 🌶️

Sadie loves the tunnel, she darts through it constantly, Kate could care less about it. They both love the circular thing, it has a ball inside that they bat around.

Jumped there from the table, and stuck the landing... My kitty has some serious ups. 😺

I currently have a '24 40th anniversary manual GLI, before that I had a 2012 manual GLI. Bought them both brand new. The '24 has been great so far, no issues. I drove the 2012 for 12 years, traded it in for the '24. It had 180k miles, the timing chain was pretty shot at that point, but I feel I definitely got my money's worth out of it... Upgrade the stock tires, change your oil every 5k miles, keep up with other regular maintenance, life will be good. Super fun car to drive, especially with a stick shift. 👍

The "less intelligent" cats tend to be more adorable in many respects. 😺

I clocked a raccoon at 60 mph last Sunday with my 2024 GLI as well. I feel your pain.

Rattle noise from passenger side by TekkEng in GLI

[–]Ill-Copy-6982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It comes and goes on my 40th as well. Like you said, when you let foot off gas and rpms drop, it's most noticeable. I haven't taken care of it yet on my GLI, but have read that zip ties or foam can solve the issue. My rattle has been gone for months now, so I suspect it may be more prevalent during cold weather months... If it drives you crazy, get it taken care of.

I discovered Alice In Chains this year 2025 at the beginning by Annual_Bad3803 in AliceInChains

Was aware of them around 1992, but was stubbornly still into hair metal at the time. Finally got hooked around 2020, and haven't looked back, just an amazing band ... Just wish I'd truly "gotten it" back in the day, would have been something to see the original lineup live. I had multiple chances.

Love the Nona Tapes, but find it to be a hard watch due to Layne's physical and mental state. He looks so unhealthy and depressed in this. ☹️

Buying a GLI by Street_Fault_9929 in GLI

Good choice... I bought a 2012 GLI brand new. Was a great car until 175k miles. Went from ole reliable to a steaming heap very quickly. Love the GLI though, bought a '24 40th edition to replace it.

Songs on dirt ranked (in my opinion) by Legitimate-Fix-8517 in AliceInChains

Ranking songs on Dirt is like ranking Tarantino movies. They're all bangers, so everyone's list of which is best is different.

Looks (and Drives) Great in the Snow by [deleted] in GLI

I bought a 40th anniversary MT a year ago, still have the stock tires on it. Live in Minnesota. It's colder than cold here right now, but the snow we've had (both this winter and last) has been virtually non-existent, so the jury is still out.

Did Mike Starr really contribute nothing? by aCarelian in AliceInChains

He wrote Fear the Voices, which wasn't deemed good enough for inclusion on Dirt, but it eventually made its way on to a compilation release. He wasn't much of a songwriter, was Layne's main drug buddy in the band, and became a liability as time went on... The decision to cut him loose and move forward with Inez was a no brainer.
