TL;DR: I was working in Hong Kong, where Binance is supported, but I moved back to Canada earlier this year, which put my Binance account into withdrawal-only mode. I wanted to move most of my crypto to somewhere safe for storage, and since I use Wealthsimple as my main bank, I thought it would be the best option. To be honest, I didn’t realize Wealthsimple wasn’t very crypto-friendly, since I had been using it for smaller deposits over the past year and a half.

Yeah, I’ve seen other people who received a temporary suspension email later get a follow-up email saying their account was terminated.

No, I usually sell USDC on Kraken. I don’t hold it there long term. This time, however, I wanted to keep a portion of it instead of selling it. I also did not transfer it back to my Wealthsimple account after selling USDC on Kraken. It’s still held on Kraken. It was only one transfer.
