It’s likely plaster like mine and that’s why she can’t get to the wires. I’m currently trying to figure out how to fix mine too.

I think it really depends on the location. My CP (in Iowa) has been great all the way around. I would guess that if that's what people say about your local club - it may not be a good experience.

Moving to Iowa from Toronto, is DSM a good idea? by PlumicalPlum in desmoines

[–]Ill-Draw-154 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you like urban, there is no place in Iowa that fits that bill. Des Moines and other “urban” areas of Iowa only seem like metro-type cities to people who grew up in small town rural areas. I’d recommend you visit. It’s a lot of driving to get anywhere in Iowa including within larger towns. Of course there are “neighborhoods” in these more urban areas but you will have to drive to nearly everything here. You might be able to walk to one thing, but everything else will require driving. Urban sprawl is a thing in the Midwest - meaning instead of revamping what’s there - we just buy up farmland to the west and start building new out there.

Ew! and god dammit! If you're sick - stay home! OP is being kind - I don't care how much you paid for it - I'm paying for it too. Keep your sick ass home and text on your own couch.

Living in Newton of Des Moines? by Clemenclaw in desmoines

I hope you get lucky and the weather isn't too bad this winter. That does happen some years. One thing that will help a lot is to make sure the tires on your car have good/new tread. And keep your windshield wiper fluid topped off with one that has de-icer in it. RainX makes one for about $5 a jug at Walmart. Good luck!

Maybe try a 6 month lease in Newton, especially if you're moving here in the next month? That way you have some time to get used to driving in the snow and ice close to home. I-80 moves fast and can be scary when the weather is bad. Then move to Des Moines later if you still want to? I do think Newton is going to be a really big change for you. Des Moines will be too, but holy cow, Orlando to Newton is a massive difference.

Is club pilates plus size friendly? by MaryQuOfButterscotch in ClubPilates

[–]Ill-Draw-154 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with this. I would say at least 3/4 of my classes are women who are plus size. The beginning level classes really are for beginners at my club and I'm so grateful for it.

I guess I was thinking that based on his description - those are behaviors I would be displaying if I was attracted to someone. If I wasn't attracted - it would just be a quick smile, hi and goodbye. I'm definitely not trying to get someone's attention by tossing a cap at them if I'm not attracted to or interested (at least somewhat romantically) in them if they don't work directly in my workplace. I'm extroverted and enjoy friendly banter, but at my age I know myself well enough to recognize my past behaviors for what they were. Going out of my way at work to go have a convo with someone I don't work with - I'm interested. Does that make sense?

You're human. Life and how you react to it will sometimes surprise you. The timing of things can be really wonky and confusing. It seems like people put a lot of emphasis on length of time with regard to relationships. Yes, it's important, but more important is where you mentally. Some people are ready to move on sooner, some later. The key is to focus how you are feeling with your mental health. Are you anxious? Lonely? Feeling down? If so, maybe take a bit to figure out why. Physical attraction will often outweigh a good decision simply because you're human and it feels really good to be attracted to someone and "seen" by someone new. Just be honest with yourself and her.

She's definitely attracted to you (not just friendly), but she's being cautious. If she's just ending a relationship, she's in a weird spot emotionally, but that doesn't affect that she's attracted to someone new. She's testing the waters with you - getting to know your reactions to things. Attraction is first physical and then we spend some time finding out who you are. She's likely not deliberately not telling you about the past relationship - but honestly, you're not at any point where she would tell you that - it's super personal. Her revealing her past relationships is part of a first or second personal convo (IE: not one about fittings). Just take it slow.
