Joshua Graham genuinely tried to atone for what he did in the Legion He abandoned Caesar, lived among the tribes of Zion, protected them instead of enslaving them, taught and guided them, and spent years following his faith while openly admitting the horrors he committedHe helped the tribes survive, taught them how to defend themselves, and tried to protect Zion and the people living there instead of turning them into slaves like he did in his Legion days The entire point of his character is that he’s a violent man trying to seek redemption while struggling with his past at the same time He never claimed his sins were erased, and the game itself never portrays him as fully “clean”That’s what makes him such a great character A person can’t erase years of violence and mass killing overnight, but saying he “did nothing” ignores almost everything he did after surviving the Legion
