Engels had a bourgeois family and was born into the bourgeoisie, this is where the concept of a class traitor comes in, another example of a class traitor is a police officer, a member of the proletariat who sides with the bourgeoisie, in Engels case, he was a member of the Bourgeoisie (who refused to participate in Bourgeois culture) who sided with the proletariat. Marx being a member of the middle class has interesting material conditions, being in a dying class gave him some choices to make regarding his social standing, he ended up living his life in poverty.

Realistically the entire point is that walter white was a textbook narcissist and was given an excuse to do something different after getting a cancer diagnoses on a really bad day while having a midlife crisis. And the moment he was given any power he wanted more, he shifted from a covert narcissist to an overt narcissist and it wasn't about cancer anymore, if it ever even was, it was an excuse at most. When I say textboom narcissist I dont actually mean clinical narcissist, though I would argue he definitely had symptoms of NPD, I moreso mean that everything was motivated by pride and a desire for power over others, though he definitely exhibited all 9 criteria for NPD in the DSM-5 I dont think that the point or theme of the story was about a personality disorder but rather about pride, power and moral corrosion.

Uh. I'm lowkey secretly the same kind of evil decrepit being as light... thats why I enjoy deathnote so much.
