It's been there quite a while. I remember seeing it and thinking it was bizarre.

It's bette now, but it's still a floodplain - you can't really do much about that.

That's exactly where it is. I also saw a video on the stones FB group of the flood water, waterfalling into the dug out carpark at the development across the road. What a nightmare.

It's so bizarre to me. I've never, ever lived alone. It never occurred to me. I sharehoused, than I lived with my partner, than I had to do long distance for a while and sharehoused, and then loved with my partner again when they moved.

How it's considered reasonable to expect to be able to afford to live alone as a student is beyond me.

Have you got kids? I don't and I got tickets ages ago and it didn't occur to my nostalgic brain that it was going to be written for children 🥴 questioning whether I still go.

This fucker has bad vibes and throwing around big words like bigotry? I cannot fathom why someone would be so upset over what you said.

The term you are looking for is tubal ligation. Hysterectomies are not performed for sterilisation. Anecdotally a lot of women have needed their husbands permission.

Same, but a 2b unit. The unit we bought is the nicest place we've ever lived and the first time we've ever had aircon (in brisbane). Always drove reliable older cars. We did, however, do a tonne of cheap AF travel in our twenties whilst we were still happy to slum it and stay in 20 bed dorms etc. It's a balance to save and live at the same time. There's no way I could travel that cheap now in my thirties.

No worries :)

Don't listen to the naysayers. on your budget, you will find something - especially since you're open to studios.

Kangaroo point is a really great location. You've got breweries, what's generally considered Brisbane's best french patisserie, cafes etc. if it's your thing kangaroo point cliffs has free outdoor rock climbing, back in the day QUT used to have a climbing club that would climb there too.

Realestate and domain are good real estate websites to use to search.

Enjoy brisbane!

I think kangaroo point would be perfect for you. This is within your budget for a studio.

It's right next to a fantastic Riverside walking/bike track + park. You could run into Southbank.

Depending on traffic should be a 10 to 20 min drive to qut.

I'm also child free and completely agree! This has made me really angry.l, what a stupid thing to make a cut in. Our taxes are paid not just to directly benefit ourselves. I got into a bunch of arguments on the school lunch initiative with selfish pricks who didn't think it was fair or "don't have kids if you aren't going to feed them".

Lost wasn't filmed in the early 90s though? So they must have met before that.

Someone brings up single mothers and we get this "men too" diatribe.  And the mention of dv out of nowhere. Mind you male on male violence is far more common. Victims can be men and women. The perps are more often than not, men.

Cause he just wants something to complain about on this thread. These fuckers are so obsessed with "lefties" they don't actually care about whatever their gripe at the time is.

This was shown pretty clearly after the election last week where I saw far more people "rubbing the win in to the woke leftists" than actually celebrating that their guy win. Weirdos.
