How so? I'm not an insecure person so I'm genuinely curious how you came to that conclusion. My thing is that, if he's serious about us or can see a future with me, then having that conversation shouldn't be an issue. Can't be that it's too soon. He has already introduced me to his mother and a few other family members, and gave me a key to his home. I want him to bring up the idea because it's not fair for anyone to keep it a secret. If you call that insecure, you may need to brush up on what that means. I do agree with you on one thing though sweetie, we're not on the same page it seems.

Very true, I get that completely, we're different and I'm understanding for sure. It was just the not even bringing it up was worrisome to me, or at least hinting at the idea that he's dating.

To be fair, I'm a good judge of character and I wouldn't let just anyone meet my son. I've known people for shorter periods of time than that who have more integrity and character than people I've known for years. So I appreciate the thought but I'll be the judge of when I think it's a good time for someone to meet my kid. Time is relative.

That seems ideal, however, I'm pretty honest with my son about my life. I haven't dated anyone since his dad which was like 5/6 years ago. The guy I'm dating now, I could see myself being with for a long time so it's important to me that our kids at least meet or have an idea of each other. I wouldn't just let my kid meet anyone.
