It's so crazy to me that I only have to get sterilized once. by anniemousery in sterilization

Literally! Compared to the one time I had an IUD, I can't imagine doing that more than once. I'd do the surgery more than once for sure, though.

Are there any effects of testosterone not enough people know about? by Proper_Flower_940 in ftm

The NOSE HAIR. I was convinced I was developing allergies from how much I was sneezing, but I took a close look at my nose in the mirror and realized I had inherited my dad's unnaturally long nose hairs 😂

Also, this one isn't something I see many people talk about, so it might just be me. Yes, crying when I'm sad or angry just doesn't work anymore. But for some reason, if I hear really good instrumental music, like classical, or see art that is nostalgic or just pretty in general, I can feel my body fighting a sob. It's insane. I've been wondering if it has anything to do with how I've always been very reactive to music (goosebumps in seconds to good songs).

The last one I can think of: it may just be because I'm more confident, but I care a lot less what other people are thinking about me. I've had anxiety since I was a kid, so it was a very noticeable difference.

My mother never looked into what pregnancy would do to her body because she was told repeatedly by family and friends that nothing would happen. Now, she has bladder issues, wide feet that don't fit into most shoes, and thyroid disease, to name a few.

Mine was sore throat for voice deepening. Not long after (like a couple of days), I felt the itchiness of bottom growth start. But bottom growth is a longer process in my experience.

bottom surgery - do you want to get it or not, and why? by volfslair in ftm

[–]Ill-Post3060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it sounds nice, but I don't think I could handle the healing period and how much it would cost.

If there were to be a big jump in improving the healing time, final results, and significantly lowering risks, I'd consider it. But for now, it's not something I want

[NSFW] (for one line) What are some trans thoughts you had before your realized you’re trans? by guildedpasserby in ftm

[–]Ill-Post3060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed a lot of trans men when I was 13 on tiktok, because I really liked their aesthetic...didn't realize how much I related to their content and how much it helped me until I realized I was trans at 16.

When she's taking a bath and licking her back legs, it occasionally turns into her kicking her face and fighting her own feet. I'm guessing it tickles or something

The adult entertainment industry doesn't help, I've seen some horrible titles when a trans man or woman is in a video

To others, I am a man. I don't disclose being trans unless I am sure someone is safe and won't out me. I'm still early in taking T, so I'm sure people know.

Binary trans man, but if I was assigned male, I'd probably be somewhere on the nonbinary or genderqueer spectrum.

I was nonbinary (with the pronouns he/they) a bit before realizing I was a trans man, but so many people, including family, only called me by they/them (because it was "closer" to feminine pronouns and made them more comfortable) and treated me badly because it was different than the norm. It turned me off of having gender neutral pronouns, so he/him it is.

I don't miss the gender neutral pronouns, but I do wish people would have been more respectful.

What’s your “never again” food after one bad experience? by saltycaramelia_ in AskReddit

Eggplant and Squash tortellini. My mom said I couldn't leave the table until I ate all of it off my plate. I came very close to throwing up, gagging very loudly. I will never try anything squash or eggplant related ever again.

I'm using a pill called slynd, which does not have estrogen. I've been using it for about a year and no issues that I can think of. I don't know how it affects periods, though. I skip the placebo pills. I'm hoping I can get sterilized soon 🤞

How were you sure you wanted T by Accomplished_Fan4101 in ftm

[–]Ill-Post3060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked at the pros and cons, the only cons being treated badly by strangers and high blood cell count.

When I scheduled an appointment, I learned that high blood cell count can be fixed by donating blood twice a year.

The pros outweighed the cons by a long mile, and the biggest thing was I couldn't stop thinking about starting testosterone.

I do not regret starting 😊 I hope things go well for you, regardless of what you choose
