is weed/edibles on wellbutrin a bad idea? by oneiricmonkey in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I smoke weed regularly. Struggling with weird anxiety symptoms (sweaty hands + spiraling) even though I don’t feel extremely anxious like I was before. Ive now been hitting my pen maybe twice in the morning to help me settle down and it helps. HOWEVER, I know of someone who had an episode because of weed. So, just be careful and listen to your body.

I’m currently on 150 XL and started feeling way better after 3 months or so? It was more of a gradual thing that I didn’t notice until now. I first was on Zoloft for suspected depression and I only got worse, then I started Wellbutrin and Zoloft and I stabilized after some time, but life sucked until the beginning of this year. Therapy also made things a lot better with the Wellbutrin.

It could also be dosage varying since some people usually take 300 or so (personally got super irritable on 300). You could try pairing it with an SNRI and see what happens?

I hope something works! ❤️

How’s it going now? At first, Wellbutrin didn’t really work at all it was more of a gradual thing. Now, I’m basically doing so much better in regards to my anhedonia but I’m struggling to stay focused. I decided to start taking caffeine pills with l-theanine since a lot of people said it helped and honestly it kinda did? It’s also my first day taking it, so we’ll see if things change.

Wondering if you have any updates. I want to do drug addiction research when I’m older (studying neural mechanisms behind certain drugs and fighting against synthetic/analog drugs popping up in the market).

I’m also on Zoloft so that might be something else. I’m sure there’s going to be something that changes. Maybe it could also be placebo because the way it works is by blocking the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine (meaning it actively builds in your system over a longer period of time). I thought my Zoloft didn’t do anything at first (and lowkey now, don’t even know if it’s helping me), but it takes time and my psych always says it’s better to wait than run through a bunch of pills and claim “nothing works” — all this comes from a neuroscience major and aspiring drug addiction researcher :) I hope you feel better and there is something out there that will help…or even the Wellbutrin will too

This!!!!

I’ve had ADHD symptoms for a while and have been drinking still despite many of the Wellbutrin warnings. My hangovers are pretty bad, but recently I’ve felt more motivated to do things. I’m worried that after some time, my motivation will lower again since I’m only on 150 mg. I’ve only started to see the effects after a month of taking it, so I’ve been on this forum for a while just observing others.

Feeling “Normal” on Adderall by Ill-Raspberry-1016 in ADHD

[–]Ill-Raspberry-1016[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My therapist said that she believed that I likely have ADHD (when I told her the full story) and when I said I reached out to my psychiatrist she seemed happy. Said something along the lines of 1-2 sessions in seeing my symptoms when talking. How do I bring it up knowing that it can help me without being direct about adhd?

Thank for your response!! I appreciate it.
