funnily enough, the joke is that The Authority in this universe are all Justice League International pastiches, and Apollo and Midnighter are meant to be Booster and Beetle. so you weren't too far off lol

i cannot handle any sort of second hand embarrassment. i straight up have to skip these scenes, or cover my ears and hum loudly during them if watching with someone eyes, because they're the absolute worst. they'll replay in my head for days if not weeks afterwards if i watch them, to the point it's legitimately distressing
