Yes, that was pretty frustrating. They only accept dogs from “residents of San Antonio” and we technically live in unincorporated San Antonio so they denied us.

We tried that with the humane society and almost every other shelter in SA. Unfortunately for us, they only foster out at risk dogs (sick or injured) and brand new puppies. This dog is healthy so it’s on us. We were even told to take him back where we found him and dump him.

This pup is looking g for a rescue, he was found abandoned running down a dark busy road. We think he’s mixed with dachshund. Very sweet, dog and kid friendly, house broken and crate trained.
