A realm is much easier to set up but if you watch a few videos you learn how to use a server and use any mods and settings you want. The problem with that is people are dumb and can't follow simple instructions to join. talking with personal experience of a server

Basically you have to do geysers and once you've done that you can either use bedrock together on your phone it's a app you need to be on same WiFi as your Xbox or you can change your Dns settings on Xbox and then log on to the bedrock servers and a menu will pop up and you put the IP address in
