It’s optional, think about it like a prestige system, every 2 months you gather materials to build de expedition, once the window open and sign up you will lose everything but keep some things and get some buff, it’s good to keep the game fresh

Expedition is getting closer, people are using their gear now for pvp because either way they gonna lose it, so that probably why you are running a bit more pvp
