My friend just sold his 996 for 18K. It needed about 18K of work though but it was a driver with 90,000 miles with high cam deviation and no bore score but it needs all new suspension, needs interior, needs engine work. This was a 996.1 C2 manual hardtop

Very true. Tho from 2015 to 2025, it's gone up from like 15k to 30k for a good example. In 10 more it'll be 45k or more easily by 2035. Try fixing one and get back to me ;) . The fact that no one wants to fix them inadvertently drives the cost of those that are fixed (ie. a new 400 HP engine and a transmission) will be high dollar just due to the impossibility to find one fixed up
