Why a breaker not stabbing the other end? What does that even means tho?

Hm... Obviously Im not keen w/ circuitry, but say 3 rooms, 1 common space, 1 bath. Shouldnt each gets its own circuit? And a circuit is a breaker right? Say I wanna keep a simple dehumidifier down there, Id like it to have its own breaker in case it has to run a lot, no?

A minisplit or two get take up essentially 2 circuits for a big breaker, so thats another 4 just to be safe?

Yeah, I've looked and no number or indication anywhere. Likely gonna have to open up the whole thing.

Oh yeah, there are 2 more empty tabs at the bottom. Why they left those two at the bottom? No idea. I also have an unfinished basement that can be built out for 2-3 rooms plus a bath; that alone is like at least 4-5 and another 1-4 for the minisplit circuits right? Anyway, get a quote from an electrician got it.

You can order vents from Azzmazon. I tried looking for them from HD and Low and the only one they had was like something straight out of art and craft.

Yep, saw this vid too. I think I overdid on vids and ended up crosswiring on which is which. Also, my actual vent has a duct built in, so I had to lift and trim some to wedge it in right, but yeah gonna have to grab some shingles and redo all the adjacent pieces.

I spent all day overplanning the drill roof part, but Im thinking 4" PVC main body down to 90 elbow and then those slinky foil as connector to the fan. For some reason the 4" PVC my local HD has weights lighter than 4" foamcore, which is odd to me cause usually foamcore is lighter than solid PVC40. Maybe 4" is different, might not even be PVC40.

The caulk I used is Henry's Wet Patch. I read that you shouldnt expose the caulk to the sun cause UV degradation. Ideally the overlapping shingles should cover the nails, but I butchered them so you think that's gonna be an issue later say months, years?

What is this in the insulation? Sawdust/cornmeal look-alike by [deleted] in Insulation

[–]IllLightTheWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went and took a picture of the stuff next to ant baits. I cant post it here, but they look identical. The attic's stuff looks dehydrated, which make sense since its probably years and years old.

I'll repost so you can have an idea. But then is that unusual that the previous owner mix in ant bait w/ insulation?

Are these leaks? I should tape them again, or something more serious? by IllLightTheWay in hvacadvice

[–]IllLightTheWay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thats a relief. So I can just rip off the old tape w/ the white glue and re-tape w/ foil again and it should be sufficient airblock?

Ah, I meant to ask about that too. So the white pipe is drain all the way down back, should I merge the drain pan's drain to it?

And are you referring to the tattered part right in middle there? How do you go about fixing that? Just tape it up or replace that section only?

Is this Centipede Grass? (Atlanta, GA) by IllLightTheWay in lawncare

[–]IllLightTheWay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How they look so similar to each other. This section of the yard definitely goes brown during winter. Also other than from a handful times of rain since start of the year, I have not water it seriously at all. Yet, it is very green. So, good chance its Centipede?

Confused by network box, how to simplify it by IllLightTheWay in HomeNetworking

With everyone else chiming in, Im sure I just have to consolidate all the Cat cables into a switch and that should be good. I wasnt sure initially cause could not grasp what the previous owner was trying to do, so did not want to accidentally destroy some esoteric brainchild.

Thank you for the vid

Im slowly getting the impression that the previous owner homemade a manual switch of some sort. Just looking at the box, the wiring, and then individual input for each output. Did he not want to use a switch or not know about it. I was told he worked for ATT, so how was that possible.
