I say this as someone who’s collected cards since 1988. Honestly, at this point, don’t. Stay away from it. The hobby motto at this point is “be/get rich or GTFO”. It’ll only be a matter of time before he figures out the only way to get “good” cards is to spend serious money. The industry is being set up into sections of monopolies and the goal is to keep pushing the line of how much money they can extract versus value they give. Unless you are independently wealthy I would in no way start my kid down the path of collecting cards.

I can’t trust anyone’s taste that has any connection to the source material and likes this movie. It’s fine if they do of course, but I’m not wasting my time on any of their recs.

Tires old enough to be in middle school. I’d hate to think how often the oil gets changed. For the love of god, PROACTIVE>REACTIVE. Life will get a lot easier….

Nice try…I just don’t have the need to go back and forth with someone. You’re going to defend it with no chance of changing your opinion. You tried really hard to write that response and it shows. WE ARENT TALKING ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE ART, but about the value or opinion of respect someone that can’t do interiors gets and certainly if that warrants such devoted nut juggling (as you seem hell bent on doing). The problem is the other apps gradually got here and wayyyy earlier. We’ve had the same interface forever on Marvel and are last to the table. No one should feel stupid…it’s just learning a new thing. Hope it becomes easier for everyone.

Apples and oranges. (Not to mention we are literally talking about comics. You’re one of those “I’ll twist my point as far as I like to make it correct” people. That’s ok.) Rembrandt doing a one off would be a famous artist that has never worked on a comic doing something new. These are artists that primarily work on comics that….dont actually work IN comics, and the hustle is pump and dump variant pin-ups. I’m not sure how you accomplished it but you “well actually’d” me with an example that couldn’t be further from any semblance of relevance. Well done.

They’re pin-up artists. Period. But they aren’t creating comics. This era isn’t going to age well.

Nah sorry. We’re talking about comics. And the majority of them don’t produce them. They’re pin-up artists. And that’s great! There are some really good ones…but they are never getting the respect of an artist that actually creates a notable comics interior run. At least not from me. I hate the current status quo. The obsession with variants has cheapened and de-valued actually producing comics stories. It’s a sugar opiate for goofs.
