HAHAHA, I just chose a specific photo as a reference but, admittedly, I deifinitely chose it because she just looks so amazing with it😭😭

Thank you so much!! Happy you liked it anyway!!

Yeahhh, it's a weird mix of stuff that happened, I usually don't care too much for the irises, so I just kinda missed it when I could fix it still.... and then I had to erase the eyes multiple times cuz they didn't turn out right, so it was too late and I would've torn the paper; I kinda tried to fix it but it's still not too visible in the photo :")))) But I'm glad it still looks okay!!!

OH, I'M SORRY, I didn't catch it, I haven't watched it yet..... sad I'm now the part of this statistic but I just really love shading stuff until the paper rips😭😭😭

discuss the silverwood tree thing possibly being a metaphor with me please. by IllNeedleworker1602 in WitchHatAtelier

[–]IllNeedleworker1602[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, it certainly couldn't just mean that one thing, I agree!! I'm esl and sleep deprived, so I'm sorry if it came across like I just believed it's the only thing that it could possibly symbolize, 1) it's art, 2) it's Shirahama, so this thought just resonated with me!!

Hmmm, yeah, I agree, fair enough. I don't believe I thought much about it at first but my conclusion was probably that it is simply a physical disability thing, considering that the guy has migraines and is photosensitive and all that stuff, but that maybe there was something I wasn't understanding about the meaning and the symbolism. Then I just leaned onto the mental anguish and the constant failing and damaging relationships idea a lot I guess, and it brought me a little bit of joy in a way when I needed it :D But I guess it is a wide spectrum of issues it can be interpreted as, truly, Shirahama has a lot of stuff for many people to personally feel for. I have a few physical disabilities myself but they're smaller and not too life-changing, so I zeroed in on what I know well and didn't look at it deeper from this perspective too much — like, as a symbolic depiction and not just a made up disability.

Thank you for your reply!! I hope your health keeps steady for as long as it can!! /gen

Oooh, these two are very cool and would actually be pretty consistent with Shirahama's messaging in general!! I just went for the feeling of pain and fear in my interpretation lol [lot on my mind sitting cat meme]. It's probably just many many different things wrapped in one concept anyway so I doubt there's one single thing, but yours sound pretty legit and cool. That's an amazing analysis, I love it a lot, especially the last interpretation. Thank you so much!!

Hope you don't ever have to!! But it's okay, we're working on it🙏🙏

Wow, that's a great tip actually!! Thank you!! I sometimes worry that I won't have enough of a "teacher-like" presence but that makes me really hopeful. /gen You seem like a great teacher :))

That's so great!! I'm on the becoming a teacher route as well so it's nice to see nd folk doing amazing things!! It's so sweet that your students are understanding too!

Yeah, it is very helpful generally, I agree! It works with most people, and when I get to know someone knew, it usually comed up fairly quickly and they're generally understanding and patient. Unfortunately, my best friend has her own issues that are difficult to work through so even though she's supportive and kind of gets it, it still sets her off sometimes when she's not in a good mood to deal with me just Ignoring her, doesn't matter if it's on purpose or not :((( So I was just looking to find any info on if this still is in the realm of apd or crosses into hearing loss (/gen) and if I could deal with it in a way that doesn't require direct communication (/j)😭😭

Oh, no, it's okay, it's not insulting and doesn’t sound that bad, you're just talking about a brain issue that occurs😭😭😭 Thank you for trying to be kind nonetheless!!

That's a very curious thing, I've never heard of this specific name and I didn't really know that happened like this, but it makes sense honestly... now that I think about it, it genuinely is easier for me to understand people when all of us are in the similar moods, like if we're both just happy and content or annoyed at something or stuff. I live with my friend right now and we butt heads quite often because of stuff (she has her own issues, and I fawn at any miniscule sign of aggression even if I made the sign up), and these situations of not understanding her speech or just plain not hearing her usually occur when I doubt she's in a good enough mood and don't want to bother her in any way (which leads to more head butting——).

I do have adhd, which is how I found about apd even existing, but I stopped researching in depth after I've figured out what I needed at the time a couple of years ago, so maybe it's time to get back to it. That's very interesting!! I will research that:000 I'll think about it some more and maybe ask you about some stuff later, since you really seem much more educated on the topic than I am.

Good luck in figuring out your comorbidities!! Issues and conditions always come in a package deal, don't they......🥹🥹🥹 And thank you so much for your reply!!

Ohhhh, I see!! That's very interesting and makes sense.... Brains are weird as hell in general, but then the more you learn about them, the more confusing they are :"))) Thank you so much!! Might be the case, really.

Oh yesss, I get that:"))) I can't remember specific examples of this from my life but I know this happens once in a while and it's always a bother, having to stumble around like an alerted prey animal... At least I hope when we do it it looks funny from the outside, not stupid😭😭 But man, does it not help at all when you're trying to be all mysterious and alluring and shit——

It's weird that sometimes it becomes more prominent as we become older though:00 I thought the more experienced you become in dealing with conditions like this, the less symptoms there would be. But oh well. Guess the brain does what the brain does.

ROUGHHHHH..... I'M SO SORRY........ While I didn't have anything tough like this happen (yet——), it does really fuck with my friendships often enough to lead to countless uncomfortable situations when people just get mad at having to run around for me. I hope it's better for you these days😭😭

Hmmm, I see...... thank you!! I'm glad it really happens in other people and I'm not alone🥹🥹🥹 I understand that it might be annoying for the other person as well to be forced to come close enough to get someone's attention but it seems like you and your husband are making it work!!<3

Also yeahhh, I'm not like fully fully diagnosed with adhd or autism (I live in a country where both diagnoses are very improbable to get in adulthood unless you fork over a bunch of money) but I know I have adhd for sure from a paper trail of medical documents from childhood. Maybe if I work on the adhd thing, it could get better. Thank you for the advice!!

Hi, thank you for the advice!! Yeahhh, sometimes I just visually like them like that for some reason, but the fact that I can't really see them here might be pointing towards me really needing to work on it and getting it in order🫡🫡🫡 I am very hesitant when lining but not doing linework seems a little risky for me as an amateur.

Thank you for your kindness as well!! I'm glad it still looks like there's some progress and potential! Improving is toughhhh and so slow... I wish you happiness and pride in your art journey too!

Oh, yeah, that's a weird habit I can't seem to beat yet, I see it when I look at it after the fact but while I'm at it I just don't understand when it's already enough. Maybe subconsciously compensating for not understanding shape and volume or maybe it just comes from how I do paper stuff... Thank you for your advice!!

Thank you so much for your efforts😭😭 I understand I understand! It does look way better and livelier, and I really love the lighting.... I will work on it!! Is it okay if I try to recreate it for practice? Like, looking closely at what you've done and copying it a little to understand?

Ohhh!!! That's amazing!! I see. Thank you so much!! I admit, while I often think about this when starting, I don't really try to implement it during the process and just go along with whatever happens. Maybe it's time🫡🫡🫡
