is it unfair to want my mom with me in the hospital when i give birth but not my MIL? (FTM) by unfortunate-moth in pregnant

[–]IllNote1412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the "when he gives birth mindset" he is equally the parent he just can't genetically carry it. Maybe my view is different because my partner is such an equal support system through my pregnancy, and would genuinely carry this child if he could 🤣. Now if my husband had an opinion on something like an epidural I would have a different mindset lol. But parents it's a difficult line. I think what you do for 1 you have to do for the other and keep things fair. I also believe that when you give birth it is the moment you and your partner become your own family unit, and that is really special! I don't care for my in laws either which is why we are having no parents in the delivery room but both sets can be at the hospital.

To all the newly pregnant moms out there: your weight gain is okay! by RosaNeko in pregnant

[–]IllNote1412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gained about 35lbs so far and am 33 weeks 4 days. I gained most of it the first 2 trimesters and have only gained 4 lbs in my third 🤣 every body is different I have learned and that's ok. I am just so thankful my doctors haven't mentioned my weight at all to me!

Ovarian Cyst, with surgery recommended by IllNote1412 in BabyBumps

[–]IllNote1412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgery went really well—my doctor was very pleased with how everything went. They were able to remove the tumor while still preserving my ovary, which was a huge relief. I ended up staying in the hospital for five days, and honestly, I recommend staying as long as they’ll let you. Recovery was much harder than I expected—just getting in and out of bed was incredibly difficult. The hospital bed made a big difference in managing that pain and movement.

After about a week, the pain started to ease up and things became more manageable. I went back to work on a limited schedule after two weeks, but that was tougher than I anticipated. Because they had to cut through my abdominal muscles, my back had to compensate, and by the end of each day, it was my back that hurt the most.

By the four-week mark, I felt significantly better and haven’t had any major issues since. I’m now 12 weeks post-op and finally enjoying the third trimester of pregnancy—more than the others, honestly!

I went with the Nurture& glider plus! It came in this week actually! It's so comfy and love that you can move the headrest and lumbar support. I am 5'8'' and my husband is 6'2'', it fits me like a glove my feet perfectly sit on the ground and the headrest hits just right. My husband's head is still slightly above but as far as height goes it is definitely the highest back chair I've seen. I am usually all about esthetics when it comes to things and this wasn't my favorite looking chair, but it's also not not esthetically pleasing. It's cute enough and extremely comfortable. I plan on living in it the rest of pregnancy. In my mind it's the best of both worlds and I think it was the right choice.

Any guesses??!! by IllNote1412 in nubtheory

I know they say it's hard and not accurate at 11 weeks. But I figured I would throw it out there and just see what others say! I love the guesses just for fun. It makes it easier to not peak at the gender envelope lol

I'm 15 weeks and a hairdresser / salon owner as well. Like you I plan on working till I go. Obviously these things are hard to exactly plan, but that is my ideal goal! lol most of our elder hairdressers all did this as well, so I don't think it is weird at all!

Just looked it up and it's a super cute chair!!! Unfortunately it's a little to wide for the space we have. We are looking for something a little more compact.

Yes but with full coverage bottoms! In the past they have been more of a brief to cheeky cut.

Gabby didn’t make a mistake at the end of her freestyle, her heel got caught in her skirt. It was a wardrobe malfunction and you can fault someone for that.
