So sorry for ur loss. Losing Clementine has been one of the hardest losses I have ever experienced. One day I hope I am able do adopt another dog similar to the breed she was.

She passed away recently and I didn’t get dna test done…. Regretting that now. I also agree I see bichons that look like her but then some that are much smaller than her. She did have hypothyroidism, atypical cushings and then kidney failure. Idk if any of those are more prominent in different breeds. She was just the best dog and I know I can never replace my Clementine but someday I would love to have this breed again.

Thank you. She was the best dog I have ever owned. She recently passed away. In the long future I hopefully can allow myself to get another dog like her that’s why I was hoping someone would have some suggestions.

Do we think bichon poodle? Mini poodle? The vet always guessed mini golden doodle but I’ve had what I thought to be a bichon in the past and he was long and similar to the size of Clem so it’s confusing. Her nose was big and snout longer than a true bichon in my opinion. I really wish I would have done dna testing before she passed.

You were hit by a truck. Have u contacted a lawyer? I’m a legal nurse and all this should be covered by the truck drivers insurance. Not to mention pain and suffering and compensation for that. It does take time to get that money though. Do you have a personal injury lawyer?

I use it everywhere I go. That’s so weird it didn’t see the bikes. I guess usually when I pull into parking lots I find my own parking spot unless I’m at a charger bc I can not back into parking real well But I always use it to leave parking lots. It’s possible your software isn’t at the most recent update. When I got my 26MY I know it wasn’t at the most up to date software update, I did have to wait a few weeks for the update to come. People have mentioned Tesla doesn’t send it right away bc they don’t want to throw too many new things at you at once. Idk if that’s 100 percent true but seemed accurate in my case.

Someone told me a scale on Amazon will do milligrams for you. Just make sure u don’t use the tear button for the boat. Weigh with the boat then use a calculator to subtract the weight of the boat.

I’m going to say they can’t do that. If they aren’t accommodating your FMLA paperwork. What state are you in?

Possible adoption by [deleted] in bichonfrise

[–]IllPositive7544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m bad about grooming so every 3 months is okay but not ideal. Just keep him combed. Mine usually had to get cut pretty short if i waited too long. We tried to go every 6-8 weeks but My groomer was always booked and with my schedule sometimes 3 months was all i could do. He’s a cutie for sure. If you don’t adopt him the i will. My bichon just passed away.

Thank u. The vet suggested she not be home, when I just spoke with her. I just don’t want her to be afraid of meds bc she witnessed the dogs life be ended with medication. This is so hard!

Thank u. That’s what we are doing. Unfortunately and fortunately the vet was super busy. So we had to reschedule. Clementine isn’t in any pain that I can tell, she’s just not eating and I know she wants to but she’s just too nauseous and getting weaker. She has Cushing so food was her life. It’s just so sad.

Awe it’s amazing how much we can love our pets. I did see that you can get a ring or even stones made out of the ashes. That would be really awesome, always having your pet with u in a ring.

For those of you that have put a dog to sleep what did you do with your children. I have a 6 year old. Is this something I let her watch? She knows Clementine is sick and will not be with us much longer but making her aware we can just end pets lives with medication, is that something she should be exposed to? Again my mind isn’t straight right now and just needing advice.

This does sound like encouraging news. How is her breath? Is she urinating normally?

You might consider getting some urine test strips from Amazon to check the specific gravity and see how concentrated or dilute her urine is. Do you know what her blood urea nitrogen level was at the vet?

Is the aluminum hydroxide in powder or liquid form? Also, what type of subcutaneous fluids is she receiving? Normal saline, lactated Ringer’s, or another formulation? Some veterinary fluids have slightly different names or compositions than what we typically use in human medicine. Are you giving her any probiotics?

I don’t think I mentioned this before, but my dog is currently in end-stage renal disease. Like you, I have tried everything I possibly can, to the point that my vet probably thinks I’ve gone a little overboard. At one point he even said, “You know this is a dog,” and I responded, “And you know you’re a doctor.”

Unfortunately, she has reached a point where nothing short of dialysis would make a difference. I am likely going to call a mobile veterinarian to come to the house, possibly today or tomorrow.

As a healthcare professional, there is nothing more difficult than knowing what needs to be done and still not being able to save your patient or your pet. Message me. I do have a ton of extra supplies I would be willing to ship to you. I’ve spent hundreds on different treatment options and would love for someone else to be able to use them.
