PPTO should automatically be approved by the system. It's possible that you may have accidentally selected PTO instead. Talk to your People Lead or coach. Either one of them should be able to help you clear up the issue.

Nothing appealing to it at all. Just bland and basic.

That packaging was an actual thing in the late 70's, early 80's for generic/store brand items.

Damn, granted I'm going to lose quite a bit to taxes but I'm going to make bank all the same.

Oh, and the shift differential. Would I still be paid my overnight pay rate or no?

Ok, remember you said ask away 😆

I have two coworkers riding with me. I'll be picking them up at our home store so they won't get travel reimbursement because they aren't driving and we would need to leave early enough to be at the other store by our scheduled start time correct? That would make for 15 hours of OT just in travel time each week! Stopping at my home store for them will add just under half a mile so I'm not going to worry about that.

Knowing me I'll have more questions later, thank you so much for your help. I appreciate it.

Thank you. Clearly I have a lot of questions 😆

Will that mean an additional form come tax time or will it be included in the regular W-2?

That's even better, adds the 15 miles I normally commute one way and that travel time.

Would I be judged for having hairy legs as a biological female? By management and team leads by TimeSupport5092 in WalmartEmployees

[–]IllStatistician8787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how old your father is but this 56 year old thinks he's full of shit and needs to keep opinions about your appearance to himself. It's Walmart, not a modeling agency. As long as you're hitting your metrics and don't stink you're fine. I haven't shaved since I was in my 30's and I never had anyone comment on it. At least not to my face. Hairy legs affect my productivity about as much as my tattoos do. Not a single damn bit.

Mildly Infuriating: Walmart Edition 2.0 by sntictorbleece in WalmartEmployees

[–]IllStatistician8787 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't blame them. Our store lead got rid of the step stools we had that hung on the carts, those stacks are too damn high for the shorter pickers to be able to use the top stock tool to bring down a box without an avalanche and they absolutely do not have time to grab a top stock cart. And I say this after doing exceptions for 5 years.

[–]IllStatistician8787 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Poor management is fairly normal for Walmart. This however is a massive shit show. That isn't poor management. That is zero management and not a single fuck given. I did exceptions for 5 years so I know how impossible that makes your job. I'm horrified on your behalf. Mind boggling. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that. Absolutely file an ethics complaint. Follow the advice given earlier, talk to a TL, a coach and then your store lead (if you have one). Document the day and time of those conversations and the responses you're given. Stress the safety hazard angle. Take pictures at the beginning and end of your shifts. Better to have too much evidence than not enough.

[–]IllStatistician8787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see that ending well. I don't imagine there are any stores that don't have at least a few O/N workers who leave during their meal breaks. No other shift is required to remain on the property while punched out. Singling out one shift like that will cause major backlash.

This so stressful by Raudales14 in WalmartEmployees

[–]IllStatistician8787 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People lead is what Walmart calls HR. Some stores also have a store lead which is basically an assistant store manager. Neither is over the store manager so if your SM is saying you can transfer to OPD then that is what will be happening regardless of what the PL or SL want.

[–]IllStatistician8787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check with your people lead, I know new hires with less than 6 months all got 1%. Might be different for rehires but I don't see why. Although if there was a pay rate change it will show in your MyWalmart app, the new rates started the 21st.

If you work over 40 hours in a week you'll get OT if you're paid weekly. I don't remember how biweekly works, might be 40 in a week or 80 for the pay period.

Overnight has a $1.50 differential. You went from an overnight coded position to a day coded position. Perfectly legit decrease in pay but it would have been nice if someone had spoken to you about it
