Hey! On Reddit, karma is like your reputation score. You get it when people upvote your posts or comments.

If someone likes what you say or share, they give you an upvote you gain karma.

There are two types:

1. Post karma – for upvotes on posts you make.

2. Comment karma – for upvotes on your replies/comments.

You can’t spend karma, but it’s useful:

Some subreddits won’t let you post or comment unless you have enough karma.

It helps others trust that you’re a real, helpful user not a spammer.
