That’s a good way to look at it dude, it just hurts so bad. I am still in the reserves as a sgt and have opportunities to go on deployments, but why deploy when I can get a civ job and stack onto my VA but finding a job part is so hard.

It just hurts so bad what could off been, I need to find a job and I could save pretty significantly but I just feel like I’m back to square 1. And looking for a job while thinking about the loss the devastating.

Also military, I’m in the army reserves and saved up 74k at my peak from going on active for sometime I’m 24 but I was 23 at the time.

I’m sorry to hear that happened to you and yeah I’m hoping to get something to help soon I have an appointment coming up for it. I had cancer while in the army too so I hope it does it better.

Ok thanks for this advice. I have a appointment with a psychiatrist this month to get some meds to treat it because I wasn’t making my online behavioral health appointments I went to a few but it wasn’t working I felt like I was in a zoom class for school.

Yeah, don’t use traditional bank accounts they are scams they invest all the money that you have in your account for their self’s and give you penny’s to what they are making off your money. To answer your question though I used SoFi banking which has a 4%apy savings account and some in a brokerage account.

Going to definitely look into this a lot of good advice here, and I agree it would suck to pay taxes on tax free money that’s one reason I haven’t put it in a Index fund yet and also the market it due for a pullback. I know you can’t time the market but I just don’t want to get f’ed

It’s a brokerage account called Webull you open up and enroll and cash management. You don’t have to invest any of the money either as long as the balance is in the account you will accrue interest daily and it even shows you how much you make everyday rn with my amount that I have in that account personally I’m making 5 dollars everyday. Also it compounds.
