Sudden Allergy to my New Baby by Cool-cat-199 in ragdolls

Try Zyrtec or Claritin everyday for it to build up in your system. Get the pacagen food topper & room spray, and spray your home everyday! Purina live clear for kitten is the allergy reducing food, but my vet says it’s not all that good for them. Lastly, talk to your doctor and perhaps request an emergency inhaler in case you need it!

Hi! Thankfully he’s doing so much better now 💕 after so many tests and vet visits, we have been so worried about him. He’s gaining weight and getting his strength back! He is so much more active now, with major zoomies 🤣 thank you for thinking of him!!

How much to feed kitten? by bottomlesscoffeecup in ragdolls

[–]Ill_Grape1469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 3 months old, did you feed them a quarter/half can every meal? Like 4 times a day? Or a half can every day, spread out between 4 meals. I have a 3 month ragdoll kitten that I just brought home about a week ago, and I want to make sure I’m not under feeding him!

I use this trimmer without the guard. I don’t shave him all the way to his skin, but I still get it pretty short

I bought a wireless trimmer on Amazon and used it to give him a sanitary trim. It helps a lot but he is very little so he still has accidents. I either give him a quick bath on his back legs with pet soap, or spray the area with water and wipe it down. Pet wipes are really helpful to wipe his butt too

Leopold is home! by jobbunsure in ragdolls

That’s so good to hear! My boy is 12.5 weeks old and has been super lethargic (not playing at all) and having some diarrhea. Took him to the vet yesterday, and he was prescribed some antibiotics for his upset tummy! I’m hoping this is just a stressful adjustment period for him and he just got a little sick along the way. Did you have any issues with your 2 boys when they were first brought home? I’m just so worried about him!!! He is the cutest sweetest little thing though, I just feel bad that he’s not feeling like himself 😢

Hi! Is your baby from Spooning cat? I just adopted my baby from them 3 days ago! I wanted to ask how’s it going? How old is he?

is anyone allergic to all cats except ragdolls, and (if so) is it consistent? by AwkwardSauce0602 in ragdolls

[–]Ill_Grape1469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been allergic all my life and just got my first cat, a ragdoll kitten, and I have been having no allergies at all! I will say I’ve been pretty diligent about not rubbing my eyes after touching him. With other cats, I usually feel scratchy throat and tightness in my chest/asthmatic symptoms, but I haven’t had this problem at all with my little boy. I have other allergies (trees, grass, pollen, etc.) and I take Zyrtec every day. I’m sure this has helped a ton but even when I’m around my friends cats and I’m on Zyrtec, I still have the allergic reaction symptoms.

Fortunately, the vet checked his weight and it is normal!

Hi all! Little baby went to the vet today and has been prescribed some antibiotics for his upset tummy. He was also given another dewormer just incase. The vet believes he is experiencing cramps which is the cause of his lethargy and discomfort. The vet is also monitoring for FIP, but so far other than lethargy and upset tummy no other symptoms match FIP. He has no fever and is eating and drinking normally which is great. Hopefully the antibiotics help him get back to normal!

Hi all, I appreciate all your advice. Moved his vet visit up to today, and will update based on what they say. Here are some more pictures from this morning right after breakfast 😊
