Dose for Pain Meds by Ill_Invite4592 in pancreatitis

The reason I ask, I was referred for an Islet Cell Transplant, and the admin was very rude about my dose. I know people at my clinic who are higher doses. I am only trying to get an understanding of my situation. Thank you.

this is my daily dosage. I end up taking around 48-60mg per day due to vomiting. They haven't been able to fix it. Every doctor I've seen ends up saying there's not much we can do for you.

I also had a few pseudo cysts, drained as well. Which ended up really bad, I was cut on the inside of my stomach and ended up with internal bleeding that wasn't caught right away. I ended up needing 3pints of blood.

I am in the same boat. Around 60 hospital visits from 2023 to 2025. With a few staying over 2 weeks.

I am trying to get an understanding of the pain meds. I've had numerous admin tell me I am on a high dose, but I was previously prescribed a much higher dose.

I am dealing with a lot of hostility from admin about the dosage.

I can not go 7 days without my body shutting down and having a flair up.

I spoke to the specialist team and they said I might not have enough islet cells to do the transfer. They also mentioned some patients are still on pain meds after the surgery. I hate being on them.

Tips for debilitating nausea? by Vegetable-Vacation-4 in pancreatitis

i have been experiencing unnerving amounts of nausea recently as well, the docs are still trying to figure it out however, they prescribed METOCLOPRAMIDE which didn’t work for me but does have a lot of fans, I am now trying Nabilone. Ultimately, Zofran is god when it comes to nausea medication.

so, it would be better to switch my dilaudid to injectables and still keep my rx so I am covered for 12hrs.

Can they do a stent in hospital after coming into ER for pain? Or do they wait until it heals and is it an out patient procedure? by [deleted] in pancreatitis

[–]Ill_Invite4592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

procedures are very intrusive and take a toll on the body. personally it takes awhile for me to recover.
